Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to a fire at a derelict factory on Mill Road in Silvertown.
Wooden flooring on the fifth floor of the eight-storey building was destroyed by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1200 and the fire was under control by 1226. Fire crews from Plaistow, Millwall, Greenwich, East Ham, Shadwell and East Greenwich attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
