Fire at a derelict factory - Silvertown

Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters were called to a fire at a derelict factory in Mill Road in Silvertown.

A range of derelict warehouse buildings were damaged by the fire.

The Brigade's 999 control officers took 57 calls to the fire.

The Brigade was called at 1805 and the fire was under control at 2049. Fire crews from Poplar, Stratford, East Greenwich, Whitechapel, Barking, Bethnal Green, Plaistow and East Ham fire stations attended the scene.

The cause of the fire has been recorded as undetermined.
