Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a basement fire on Liverpool Road in Islington.
Part of the basement of a mid-terraced block of flats was damaged by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1553 and the fire was under control by 1619. Fire crews from Holloway, Soho and Kentish Town fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
