Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to a fire at an industrial estate in Bath Road, Hounslow.

Part of one industrial unit was damaged by fire.

The alarm was raised when a member of public could smell burning and saw smoke in the roof area of the warehouse.

The Brigade was called at 1927 and the fire was under control at 2057. Fire crews from Feltham, Heston, Twickenham and Heathrow fire stations attended the scene.

The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental and due to the self heating of textiles stored within the warehouse.
