Three fire engines and around 15 firefighters were called to a fire at a shop with flats above on Drayton Bridge Road in Hanwell.
Half of the shop front was damaged by fire. Eight people evacuated from the flats above the shop before the Brigade arrived, there are no reported injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1353 and the incident was over by 1418. Fire crews from Heston and Acton fire stations were at the scene.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.
