Three fire engines and around 15 firefighters were called to a fire at a restaurant on Brick Lane, Shoreditch.
One 19kg LPG cylinder used for cooking was involved in the fire so firefighters cooled it down to make it safe.
The Brigade was called at 2012 and the fire was under control at 2033. Fire crews from Whitechapel, Shadwell, and Bethnal Green fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
