Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a flat fire on Burney Street in Greenwich.
Part of the room on the ground floor was damaged by the blaze. A man was assessed on scene by London Ambulance Service crews. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 0154 and the fire was under control by 0238. Fire crews from Greenwich, East Greenwich and Lewisham fire stations attended the incident.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police.
