Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to a fire at an open air recycling centre in Abbey Road in Park Royal.
Approximately 20 tonnes of refuse was damaged by fire.
The Brigade was called at 1602 and the fire was under control at 1940. Fire crews from Heston, Wembley, Willesden, Park Royal and Ealing fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
