Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a grass fire in Renwick Road, Barking.
A large area of grass verge and undergrowth was damaged by the fire.
The Brigade was called at 1150 and the fire was under control by 1249. Fire crews from Barking, East Ham and East Ham fire stations attended the incident.
