Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters attended a fire in a flat in St George Wharf, Lambeth.
A small part of the studio flat was damaged by the fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1830 and the fire was under control by 2000.
Fire crews from Lambeth, Clapham and Brixton Stations attended the incident.
The cause of the fire is believed to be a faulty fuse board.
