Two fire engines and around 10 firefighters attended a fire in a flat in Woodland Grove, Greenwich.
Part of the ground floor flat was damaged by the fire. Sadly, the bodies of two cats and a dog were recovered from the property.
The Brigade was called at 1727 and the fire was under control by 1831.
Fire crews from East Greenwich Fire Station attended the incident.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
