Two fire engines and around 10 firefighters were called to a fire at a restaurant on High Street, Croydon.
A small part of a kitchen on the first floor was damaged by the fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 0249 and the fire was under control by 0353. Fire crews from Croydon Fire Station attended.
The Brigade’s fire investigators believe the cause of the fire was the failure of a capacitor within a commercial fridge.
