Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a block of flats after a smoke alarm alerted residents to a fire on Velocity Way in Enfield.
Electrical cupboards on the first and second floor were damaged by fire. Part of a second floor was also damaged by fire. Around 15 people left the building before the arrival of the Brigade. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1035 and the fire was under control at 1152. Fire crews from Enfield, Chingford, Edmonton and Stoke Newington fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental due to an electrical fault.
