Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to a fire at a block of flats of 10 floors under construction in Nine Elms Lane, Vauxhall.
A small section of the ninth floor was damaged by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1539 and the fire was under control at 1615. Fire crews from Lambeth, Clapham, Brixton and surrounding fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
