Recycling yard fire - Charlton

Fire at commercial property

Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a recycling yard on Penhall Road, Charlton.

Two diggers were destroyed by the fire.

The Brigade was called at 0135 and the fire was under control at 0227. Fire crews from East Greenwich, Greenwich, and Plumstead fire stations attended the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.
