Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a house under refurbishment in Crondace Road in Fulham.

Half of a staircase was damaged by the fire and a small part of the first floor and second floor of an end-of-terraced house were damaged by the fire. There were no reports of any injuries.

The Brigade was called at 2228 and the fire was under control by 2337. Fire crews from Fulham, Chelsea, Wandsworth and Battersea fire stations attended the scene.

The Brigade’s fire investigators believe the most likely cause of the fire was oil soaked sawdust self-heating.
