Fire at a recycling plant - Beddington

Fire at commercial property

Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a recycling plant on Endeavour Way, Beddington.

Approximately 30 industrial wheelie bins containing general waste were destroyed by the fire. The fire also damaged a small part of the external cladding of a neighbouring commercial property. There were no reports of any injuries.

The Brigade was called at 2243 and the fire was under control at 0000. Fire crews from Croydon, Wallington, and Norbury fire stations attended the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
