Around sixty tonnes of tyres and domestic waste – around the weight of four double decker buses - was incinerated during a fire on open ground on White Hart Lane in Tottenham, N17 on Friday night.
Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to the blaze. Fire engines came from Tottenham, Edmonton and Hornsey fire stations.
The Brigade was called at 2221 and the fire was under control by 0140.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
