Four fire engines and 21 firefighters were called to a fire at a recycling plant in Perry Road, Dagenham.
Around 10 tons of recycled waste and car parts were damaged by fire.
The Brigade was called at 1647 and the fire was under control at 1806. Fire crews from Barking, Dagenham, East Ham, and Wennington fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
