7 Firefighters and officers were called to a fire that was already out in a terraced house on Camden Road, Walthamstow this morning.
The fire which had damaged a small section of one room of the house and sadly, a woman was confirmed dead at the scene by London Ambulance Service.
One fire engine from Walthamstow Fire station attended the incident. The Brigade was called 0954 and the incident was over for fire crews at 1027.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
