Four fire engines have been called to a fire at a block of flats on Stoford Close in Southfields.
A small part of a balcony at a four-roomed flat on the fourth floor was damaged by fire. One woman was rescued by crews wearing breathing apparatus suffering from smoke inhalation and was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service.
The Brigade was called at 1121 and the incident was over by 1224. Fire crews from Wandsworth, Battersea, Wimbledon and Chelsea fire stations were at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
