Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a fire at a flat in Hicken Road, Brixton during the early hours of this morning.
The small fire didn't cause any damage but generated thick black smoke. Around 10 people left the property before the arrival of the Brigade.
The Brigade was called at 0208 and the fire was under control at 0246. Fire crews from Brixton, Clapham, Peckham, and West Norwood fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
