Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a fire at a mid-terraced house converted into flats in Holmesdale Road, South Norwood.
Half of a four-roomed flat on the second floor and a small part of the roof were damaged by the fire. Two people left the building before the Brigade arrived. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1113 and the fire was under control at 1322. Fire crews from Woodside, West Norwood, Croydon and Beckenham fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
