A fire broke out at a derelict community hall on Tenterden Road in Dagenham this morning. Part of the first floor of the building was damaged.
Six fire engines and 35 firefighters and officers from Dagenham, Barking, Hornchurch, Romford, Hainault and Ilford were at the scene.
The Brigade was called at 1009 and the fire was under control by 1206.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
