Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a house in Hillside Gardens, Walthamstow.
More than half of a semi-detached house and the attached garage were damaged by the fire.
The Brigade was called at 1932 and the fire was under control at 1956. Fire crews from Barking, Leyton, Woodford and Leytonstone fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
