Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a fire at a house in Quilter Road, Orpington.
Solar panels on the roof of a terraced house were destroyed by the fire and more than half of the roof was damaged. A small part of an adjoining property was also damaged.
Two adults and two children left the property before the Brigade arrived. They were treated at the scene for shock by London Ambulance Service crews.
The Brigade was called at 0857 and the fire was under control at 1050. Fire crews from Orpington and Sidcup fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
