Maisonette fire - Marylebone

Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a fire at a block of maisonettes in Harewood Avenue, Marylebone.

A five roomed maisonette on the second and third floor was damaged by fire. Three people left the property before the arrival of the Brigade and were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation. One of the three people was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews.

The Brigade’s 999 Control Officers have taken 47 calls to the fire.

The Brigade was called at 1555 and the fire was under control at 1732. Fire crews from Kensington, West Hampstead, Kentish Town and Hammersmith fire stations attended the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
