Fifteen fire engines and 97 firefighters and officers were called to a fire at a commercial property under construction on Winnock Road in West Drayton.
The fifth floor of the six storey building was destroyed by the fire. Fortunately, no one was injured.
The Brigade was called at 1753 and the fire was under control by 2050. Fire crews from Hayes, Hillingdon, Feltham and other surrounding fire stations were at the scene as well as colleagues from Royal Berkshire fire service.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
