Burst water main - Bow

Ten fire engines and 72 firefighters and officers were called to a burst water main at the junction of Bow Road and Fairfield Road in Bow.

The road was flooded to a depth of approximately 50cm. Around 10 residential and 10 commercial properties were evacuated and crews worked to pump water away from affected properties.

Local road closures were in place.

The Brigade was called at 2141 and the incident was over for firefighters at 0459. Fire crews from Bethnal Green, Mill Wall, Walthamstow, Tottenham, Homerton and surrounding fire stations attended the scene.
