Six fire engines and 35 firefighters and officers were called to a fire at a house in Drax Avenue, West Wimbledon.
Half the first floor and half the roof of a detached house was damaged in the fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1644 and the fire was under control at 1857. Fire crews from Sutton, Twickenham, Wandsworth and Kingston fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
