North Cheam - restaurant fire

Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a fire at a restaurant on London Road in North Cheam yesterday.

Part of the kitchen at the rear of the restaurant was damaged by fire. Three people evacuated the premises and no injuries were reported.

The Brigade was called at 1303 and the incident was under control by 1424. Fire crews from Sutton, New Malden and Mitcham fire stations attended the incident.

The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
