Firefighters rescued a man who had fallen into the water at Western Gateway in Canning Town.
Crews used specialist water rescue equipment to bring the man to safety via dockside steps. The man was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews.
The Brigade was called at 0229 and the incident was over for us at 0322. Fire crews from Plaistow, Millwall and Stratford fire stations attended the scene as well as two fire rescue units.
