Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to reports of a fire at a gym in Summerwood Road, Isleworth.
Firefighters investigated and found no fire but steam venting from an electrical plant room.
The Brigade was called at 2101 and the incident was over for firefighters at 2311. Fire crews from Heston, Richmond and Twickenham fire stations attended the scene.
