Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a building under construction on Charlotte Street, Bloomsbury.
Part of a first floor flat was damaged by fire.
The Brigade was called at 1743 and the fire was under control at 1833. Fire crews from Euston, Soho and Paddington fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
