Six fire engines and 35 firefighters and officers were called to a fire at a block of flats in Bourne Terrace, Maida Hill.
A small part of a balcony on the ninth floor of the 22-storey block was damaged by the fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1723 and the fire was under control at 1758. Fire crews from Paddington, North Kensington, Kensington and Hammersmith fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
