Fire in hotel linen cupboard

Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a fire at a hotel and gym in Lampton Road in Hounslow.

A linen cupboard on the third floor of the building was destroyed by fire.

Approximately 35 people left the building before the arrival of the Brigade. A further 22 people were evacuated from the third floor by the Brigade and crews wearing breathing apparatus assisted give people from the fourth floor. There were no reports of any injuries.

The Brigade was called at 2316 and the fire was under control at 0046 on Sunday (April 15). Fire crews from Heston and Feltham fire stations attended the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
