Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a flat fire on St Marks Road in North Kensington this morning.
Fire crews brought a man out of a third floor flat. Sadly he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A small amount of the flat was damaged by fire.
The Brigade was called at 0655 and the fire was under control by 0835. Firefighters from North Kensington, Kensington and Hammersmith fire station attended the incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
