Firefighters were called to a fire in a flat above a shop on Altmore Avenue in East Ham this morning.
The fire damaged part of the two roomed, first floor flat.
The Brigade was called at 1121 and the fire was under control at 1202 Two fire engines and around ten firefighters from Plaistow and Stratford fire stations attended the incident.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
