Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a fire at a shop with flats above in Nelson Road in Whitton.
Part of the ground floor restaurant and part of the external ducting from ground to second floor level were damaged by fire.
The Brigade was called at 0843 and the fire was under control at 1041. Fire crews from Twickenham, Heston and Kingston fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
