Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a fire at a detached bungalow in Rodney Gardens in Pinner this afternoon.
Half of the ground floor and a large part of the roof of the bungalow was damaged by fire. Sadly a man was found dead at the scene.
The Brigade was called at 1352 and the fire was under control by 1502. Fire crews from Harrow, Ruislip, Northolt and Stanmore fire stations were at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
