Four fire engines and around 20 firefighters and officers were called to a burst water main in St John Street in Islington in the early hours of this morning.
A basement of a commercial property was flooded to a depth of 120cm and crews used a submersible pump to remove water from the premises.
The Brigade was called at 0141 and the incident was over for firefighters at 0518.
