Six fire engines and firefighters were called to a fire in Coldharbour Lane, Rainham.
A stack of loose compost in an open yard was damaged by fire.
The Brigade was called at 1736 and the fire was under control at 0548 on Monday (June 19). Fire crews from Wennington, Dagenham, Hornchurch and Ilford fire stations attended the scene.
