Four fire engines and around 20 firefighters and officers were called to a fire at a house in Bradford Road in Ilford.
Part of the loft conversion of a mid-terraced house was damaged by fire. One woman and two children left the property before the arrival of the Brigade.
The Brigade was called at 1702 and the fire was under control at 1821. Fire crews from Ilford and Dagenham fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
