Fire crews with breathing apparatus rescued two people from the third and fourth floor of a house following a fire on Stanstead Road in Forest Hill yesterday evening.
The fire damaged part of the ground floor of the four storey building.
The Brigade was called at 1724 and the incident was over by 1807. Two fire engines and around ten firefighters and officers from Forest Hill and Lewisham fire stations attended the incident.
The cause of the fire is accidental.
