Ten fire engines and 72 firefighters and officers dealt with a fire in a recycling plant on Thornton Road in Edmonton last night
Five hundred tonnes of rubbish was alight.
The Brigade was called at 2243 and the fire was under control at 0219. Fire crews from Edmonton and surrounding fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
