Four fire engines were called to a shop fire on Edgware Road this afternoon.
Most of the shop’s external fascia was damaged by fire as well as part of the first floor roof.
A passer-by saw smoke and flames coming from behind a shop sign and alerted the people inside the shop who the called the Brigade. Fortunately no injuries were reported.
The Brigade was called at 1328 and was over by 1427. Fire crews from Paddington, Kensington, Brixton and North Kensington fire stations were at the scene.
