Four fire engines and around 20 firefighters and officers were called to a fire at a house in Abbey Wood Road in Abbey Wood.
All of the roof and first floor and part of the ground floor of the property were damaged by fire.
The Brigade was called at 1405 and the fire was under control at 1542. Fire crews from Bexley, East Greenwich, Lee Green and Eltham fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
