Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a fire at a takeaway restaurant in Southbury Road, Enfield.
Part of the ducting between the ground and first floor was damaged by the fire.
The Brigade was called at 2056 and the fire was under control at 2202. Fire crews from Edmonton and Enfield fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
