Ten fire engines and 72 firefighters and officers are tackling a blaze at a shop with flats above on Harrow Road in Westbourne Park.
The whole of the building has been severely damaged by the blaze.
Station Manager Sam Kazmanli who was at the scene said:
"This is a severe fire in a shop with flats above. Firefighters will be at the scene throughout the night tackling the blaze."
The Brigade was called at 0845. Fire crews from North Kensington, Paddington, Kensington and West Hampstead fire stations are at the scene. The cause of the fire is not known at this stage.
