Firefighters were called to a fire in a flat on Carfax Place in Clapham SW4 this morning.
Crews rescued the flat’s occupant and he was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service where he sadly died this afternoon. The fire damaged part of the ground floor property.
The Brigade was called at 1123 and the incident was over for the Brigade at 1219. Two fire engines and 14 firefighters and officers from Clapham and Brixton fire stations attended the incident.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
